I sold some scrap gold to cash for gold usa online. The way it goes is you request an appraisal kit to find out whst your merchandise is worth and if merchant wants to buy it. Now, before anything I have to SHIP merchandise to cash for gold via FedEx next day which they provided. I shipped my items in the merchandise was appraisal and I was given an offer to buy. I accepted offer and paypal as payment choice. I have had paypal since I was 18 I'm 44 now and never one issue. Funds show up on hold in my account. In order to release this hold I was told to update tracking and upload tracking number. Only number I have is when I shipped in merchandise which proves buyer has merchandise and is satisfied. So now my Payment on hold for 31 days. I ssk why and I'm told you gave fake tracking. There is no way the shipment was delivered before the payment . ??????????????????????????????????? This is impossible we would have released this Payment if the tracking didn't say package delivered on 27 and not the 29th. In order to make an offer there was no other way then to receive merchandise first. Does this seem right to anyone?

Paypals system is mostly automated. For the new seller hold funds are released when tracking shows delivery of the item to the buyer + 1 day.

As you sent before payment was made it doesn't configure correctly on paypals system.

So you can either phone them and explain and see if they will release the funds manually for you OR wait the 21 (not 31) days for the funds to auto-release.

Contact options for each countries Paypal customer services are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.

1. Paypal phones (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, (during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out).
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a private direct message via Social Media on Facebook, Twitter/X, or Instagram pages.
