Refund issued has not been received

It has supposedly been issued to the bank account the original purchase was made from, but that account was closed before the refund was issued. Bank have claimed that it was never received. I'm getting nowhere with Paypal.

If it went back to a bank account (and not debit card) and that bank account was closed then it should bounce back to your balance.

Allow 5-7 days and if not contact customer services for a trace?

Thanks. The refund got issued July 4th and still hasn't shown up anywhere. I've contacted the bank already who told me that it had never been received by them. I've tried to contact Paypal but all I get is the automated bot service that sends me round in circles. No clear contact number or email address to complain to. The whole thing is very frustrating!

Contact options for each countries Paypal customer services are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.

1. Paypal phones (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, (during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out).
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a private direct message via Social Media on Facebook, Twitter/X, or Instagram pages.
