Hi ! I paid 853€ in December (so 872$) but the seller was fraudulant so I report a problem and get only 770€ back (for the same 872$) why ?

I'm sorry to hear that the refund you received wasn't equivalent to the same amount originally sent. If you had opened a dispute, if it was opened with a partial refund rather than a full, that could explain the difference. Another possibility is that the currency exchange rates were different on the day you received the refund. When a refund is processed that involves a currency conversion, the exchange rate of that specific date is used, so there can be a difference in the amount you receive. 

To find out if that's what happened, please review both transactions within your PayPal Activity. If you expand all details, you'll be able to determine if you received a partial refund or if it was due to a different exchange rate. If you need any assistance, please don't hesitate to contact Customer Support by selecting 'Contact' at the bottom of any PayPal website.
