Sending money

When you send someone money, does it go to their checking account? I sent this last $225 on her new account and it is showing on my credit card that it was received. Are there more than one way they can collect the money other than their checking account?

Depends on country and other factors.

In the U.S funds sent normally go into the recipients paypal account balance HOWEVER they can opt to either hold a balance OR have the funds auto-withdrawn to a linked and confirmed bank account. Ask her which option she chose?

Also was it a friends/family payment or goods/services? Only scammers tell you to use friends/family and then pretend for some reason that they have not received it knowing there is little you can do about it as you have negated any buyer protection.
