Verify to accept invoice money?

A friend wanted to send me money, couldnt find me online.... and asked if i could just "invoice" them the request for 30 bucks. 

After doing so, she was EASILY and FINALLY able to find me! 

She then sends me the money. 

Paypal refuses to fork over that cash until I 'verify' with them. 

Which is honestly ridiculous. 

Its been a day already.... I have no intentions on attaching an entire bank account to this paypal account as I have used it for years just fine with the option of sending quick cash to friends. Only today have I ever been denied my money just because I am not comfortable attaching my personal bank info to paypal. 

Question is... how do I get my money from paypal because now my friend doesnt have her money and I dont have that money... paypal is hording it in limbo.

Shame she didn't just send the funds using the 'friends/family' option to your paypal email address then you would have had the funds instantly.

By sending via an 'invoice' it made it a 'goods/services' payment which you can't accept until you verify unfortunately.

You probably also got charged a fee which you would not have done if she had used the f/f option.

Or you could have sent her a paypal.me request instead of an invoice.
