Why is paypal stealing my money?

Waiting for two weeks to receive a refund from paypal. I received 4 refunds last week. All of my debit purchases were refunded same business day. Paypals refund is on hold for 11 days so far. Contacted my bank they say that Paypal is holding the funds. Paypal Customer service responds: “Best change banks then if they are taking a long while to process your refund.” This lines right up with all the class action lawsuits over the years. Beware of criminals before you do business with them. How is paypal allowed to steal their customers money like this?

Careful as you may be facing a lawsuit if you state Paypal made that comment 🤣

They may want to sue you for attributing a comment they didn't make to their company.

See how easy it is to sue someone?

I may then decide to sue you as you accuse me of being a Paypal employee 😲

As for your refund I think a tad of patience may be applied.

Pending refunds can only happen for two reasons.

1. The seller has issued a refund from their bank account which takes time to process. Echeques which is the option used for refunds as its cheaper have to go via ACH in batches, as soon as paypal have the funds they pass them on to you.

2. You funded the payment to the seller using bank transfer. What PayPal do here is credit the recipient on your behalf (so there is no delay in despatching your item). Then if you receive a refund in the meantime they are unable to issue this until the original bank transfer completes which again can be 5-7 business days. As you have waited 11 calender days then hopefully you should get your refund soon.
