Happened last year and again today. Open paypal from vendor with the invoice attached, and all it does is spin ...for hours....why this doesn't work?

Hello @sharabc

Welcome! Thanks for visiting PayPal's Community Forum. I'm sorry to hear you've run into some issues making a purchase. Have you tried clearing your browser's history, cache, and cookies? That normally fixes issues like this. Otherwise, you may want to try making the purchase from a different browser or device.

I hope that works!

Happens to me consistently on one site. Can get around it by hitting back one screen and clicking pay with paypal a 2nd time.

I'm having exactly the same issue, it's been happening for months. Sometimes hitting 'back' works, today I've done it three times and it's still just spinning for hours. Anyone got any more suggestions?

I am having this problem as well. Same behavior, sometimes payment is possible with going "back" in the application. Any reliable fix for this issue?

Hello @DebSherr and @hesral

Welcome and thanks for posting in the PayPal Help Community!

Sorry to hear that you've run into some issues with paying invoices. Such situations can be resolved by trying some troubleshooting like clearing your cookies, history, cache, etc. from your browser or using a different browser/device. If the issue persists after trying all these, I recommend you to reach out to our support team to get your information added to any open tickets to help the team in researching and resolving this issue.

I hope this works, have a great day!

this is obviously a paypal problem so could somebody in paypal pull their finger out and fix it instead of handing back the old  ' clear the cache' line to the users. It's been like it for months if not years.

I have the same problems. Started a few months ago. I cannot really use paypal to pay anymore and have to pay by credit card instead

I've been plagued with this for a few months. Was just Firefox but since yesterday's Chrome update that browser also. My guess is PayPal are using browser compatibility automation tests and they've become stale, but anyway - it seems to be a cache problem and hitting Ctrl & F5 forces it to refresh and clear cache. Works for me anyway - Ubuntu 22, Chrome/FF, UK based with a fast fibre connection - 130 mps download right now.
