I am waiting for a payment from a friend in the USA and I am in UK, it says on his side that the I will get noticed shortly but I have had no notification at the moment, how long would the notification take to get to me
Paypal payments are pretty much instant, even if pending or on hold they would show in your paypal account minutes after being sent.
Are you sure this is a real friend and not a scammer that will show you a fake notification requiring you to do something before you can accept the funds?
