AMEX UAE CARD LINK PROBLEM: "SECURITY CODE ERROR/INCORRECT"

I am having a issue linking my Amex UAE card (AED currency) to my PayPal account.

This is the error message that displays:

"Security code is incorrect"

Even though it displays this message, I can see the 1.00 verification debit coming off of my account each time.

Now I have tried for a 4th time and it displays:

"Your card has been declined. Please try a different payment method."

I cannot find a live chat to help me with this issue either.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Paypal does not accept all cards so you may get the message the card is declined. If the Visa you are trying to add is virtual or issued online you may need to try another card.

The 1.00 fee is probably not the confirmation fee and will drop off after a few days.

These are the amounts for confirmation dependent on currency.
