I understand you'd like to learn if there's a maximum balance you can hold in your PayPal account prior to linking a credit card. PayPal accounts do not have a limit to how much you can hold in your PayPal balance. However, if your account is not verified, you may have lower sending, receiving, and withdrawing limits.
