Linking Bank Account - New Zealand

Hello,

I can't link my Paypal account to my bank account saying that it needs the bank code and account number.

My bank doesn't have a bank code so I'm not sure how to link this. Also, my account number is longer than 11 characters. Unless I made a mistake somewhere along the line when signing up.

None of these solutions are working for my asb account number. Any ideas? The routing number seems to have been accepted, but the words "account number" stay red after inputting my 9 digit number (with all tricks above tried) and I'm unable to click "link this bank". So frustrating!

After a million tries, i got it!

The 6 digit bank number has no dashes. e.g. 123456

The account number still needed its dash. e.g. 1234567-89

if you have a 3 digit suffix, remove the first number of it (usually a 0)

and if you have a 2 digit suffix, but a 10 digit account number, remove the first digit of the account number.

My ASB account didn't need the number to be altered, just the bloody dash in the right place. Hope this helps someone else.
