Not getting the week-long 5% restaurant cash back

I was excited to see the week-long promotion for 5% cash back at restaurants but all of my restaurant visits only gave back 2% cash back.

 

What gives?

I called the number and was bounced around from agent to agent, none of which seemed to know what I was talking about. Put on hold several times. Paypal doesn't know that Synchrony bank is sending out emails about these promotions. 

 

I looked at the fine print in the promotional emails and noticed this:

"Please allow up to 2 billing cycles after the offer ends for your cash back to post to your PayPal Cashback Mastercard account."

So maybe at some point the extra cash back will be applied to the account? Who knows...

 

Customer service was extremely lacking. Hard to even hear what they were saying with all the background noise of other agents.

Same issue for me too. I only received the standard % back instead of the promised 5%
