Paid shipping on wrong size Priority Mail Box. How do I fix?

I paid for shipping for a small priority mail box, printed the shipping label and obtained a tracking number.  My item won't fit and I need to ship using a medium priority mail box.  How do I fix this problem I created?

Log into your paypal account and go to the details page of the postage purchase. and cancel the postage payment.

You can then repring the correct postage.

Note: the refund will take up to 20 days to be credited back to your paypal account.

Unfortunately, there is time limit on voiding a shipping label.  If it has been less than 48 hrs you may void the label. You could've just used the label you had printed, put it on your package, and paid the difference at your local USPS counter. I've made the mistake many times myself over the years, and my post office is most helful in this matter. However, if it's been more than 24hrs since you printed the label, some post offices will not accept it. They say you must ship same day label is printed.

So if you void a shipping order, will this affect the dispersant of money into your paypal account? I just sold and item on ebay and accidentally got the wrong box and had to void my shipping order and create a new one. Does this affect how fast you will get your money? Also, if not, why does it take so fricking long for me to get my money? I sent the package out, it has a tracking number, why isn't my payment approved? In other words, the money for my order is still pending.

This is in response to "rustlung" question. If I under stand you correctly you sold an eBay item them shipped it without receiving payment?

Never ship out an item with out being paid.  There should be a clear understanding that as the seller you will ship the item once payment has cleared. And the purchaser needs to pay within 48 for auction items and immediately for buy it now items.

If the payment is being held subject to the eBay Item Hold Policy, PayPal will release the payment after 21 days, or... they may release the payment after the buyer leaves positive feedback or 3 days after PayPal can confirm delivery of the item.

PayPal will confirm delivery if you use USPS, UPS or FedEx to ship the item and use PayPal shipping labels, or if you upload tracking information to PayPal via the transaction details page.
