Pretty sure I've figured out how they provide the false tracking information. Many stores offer a parcel collection service. So what they do is send a package to a local store that matches your postal town. They then have a tracking number that confirms delivery to your town. Since all they need to do is send an empty letter this is much cheaper than sending the real item, the tracking info also wont give you the address it was actually sent to. I worked this out because theres a store near me and it matches the GPS coordinates given on the tracking info. At least my guess is its gone there, they might have just sent it to a random house in the area. As long as they actually send something theres a tracking number. They kept sending me tracking numbers saying the item was shipped from US but when I opened the paypal case they gave a tracking number that says the item was sent from china. After looking into it more the item I ordered from them does not exist yet, its a kickstarter thats not due to ship until 2022.
