Hi RobinHallett and alpacas,   There are a few things that could be causing this to happen.   If you are using a 3rd party shopping cart, it's possible that the sales tax is being set manually by the shopping cart.  In that situation, the sales tax would need to be setup with the shopping cart preferences or it would need to be setup to not specify any sales tax at all.  Even if it sends a sales tax amount of $0.00 for a payment, that would override the sales tax options in your profile.   Another possibility is that when this is being tested, you are not logging into a PayPal account that has a shipping address that would trigger the sales tax.  The sales tax isn't added to the total until after the shipping address is entered or after the customer logs into their PayPal account.   I would guess that this is probably caused by 3rd party shopping cart settings.  I hope this information is helpful to find the cause of this problem. 🙂   - Frank ... Hi exscnkids,   Welcome to the community! 😄   The CSS on your site is setting all <input> elements to a height of 15 pixels and a width of 125 pixels.  The PayPal button code uses an input element to display the button image but the dimensions are 43 pixels high and 147 pixels wide.  So you'll need to change the CSS on your site to fix this.   Here's the part of the PayPal button code that displays the image: <input type="image" src="https://www.paypalobjects.com/en_US/i/btn/btn_donateCC_LG.gif" width:"147" height="43" align="center" border="0" name="submit" alt="PayPal - The safer, easier way to pay online!">  One way to fix this would be to add this line to your CSS:   #RightPart input{height: 43px; width: 147px;}   I hope this helps! 🙂   - Frank ... Hi Al-Guevara,   Welcome to the community! 🙂   PayPal does not have a feature that automatically creates and manages coupon or discount codes for your shopping cart but our colleagues over at Magento do have this feature in their shopping cart software. http://www.magentocommerce.com/knowledge-base/entry/setting-a-coupon-code-to-your-promotions   I'm sure there are many other 3rd party shopping carts that support coupon and discount code management as well.   If you would rather not use a 3rd party shopping cart, there are ways to specify discounts using PayPal buttons.  Your website would need to be programmed to manage the discount variables for your items. Hi boudica73,   You can manage your email subscriptions by going to 1. "Preferences"  over on the right side of the screen 2. Click on the "Subscriptions and Bookmarks" tab 3. Click on the "Email Subscriptions" sub tab. 4. Check the topic you would like to unsubscribe from 5. Hi bigmuddyfoot,   Welcome to the community! 🙂   There are a couple options.   We have something that was designed specifically to enable this type of feature. It's called Payment Data Transfer (PDT) .  Basically our final checkout page will post the transaction information to your webpage after the customer is redirected back to your site.  This would require that the customer's browser be redirected for the site to receive the information.    Another option is to use  Instant Payment Notifications (IPN) . You will get much of the same information as PDT but this is a server to server notification that doesn't rely on the customer's browser to be successfully transmitted to you.  You would have a server setup to listen for these notifications from PayPal and then update a database with the information.  Your final checkout page would then query your database for the transaction information.    The links to each of these options has more information as well as code samples.  You can also find a variable reference page for both here.   I hope this helps! 😄   - Frank ... Hi Rod_Livesey,   Welcome to the community and thanks for a great question! 😄   There are a couple ways to resolve this.  If you use a PayPal "Buy Now" button  and leave the amount blank, your customers will be able to enter any amount they want.   Pros: Except for initial setup, very little work on your part.  You would just direct your customers to your site to pay and enter the amount they owe. Cons: Dealing with customer errors when the amount is entered incorrectly. Not being able to customize the name of the service you are providing for each transaction   Another option is to send PayPal invoices.  When you log into PayPal, there is a "Request Money" tab at the top.  You can use this tab to send a quick "Money Request" using the customer's email address and the amount they owe.  Or you can create a more customized and itemized invoice.  With each option, the customer would receive an email from PayPal with the option to pay directly from the email.   Pros: Easy to customize.  You can create invoice templates for future clients.  No need for website coding or relying on the customer to enter the amount they owe. Hi zlw,   Welcome to the community! 😄   This is definitely possible.  You can have up to eight active email addresses on your account.  As long as the email addresses are confirmed, any one of the eight emails can be used to receive payments.   Another option is to use a custom checkout logo for each site.  You can learn more about customizing the PayPal checkout pages here: Co-Branding the PayPal Checkout Pages   These customizations can also be specified on a per checkout or per PayPal button basis.  The variables for this can be found here: HTML Variables for Displaying PayPal Checkout Pages   There is one other thing that I would want to warn you about.  While you can customize the checkout experience, the customers will still see only one business name and email address in their transaction history.  They would also only see one business name on their credit/debit card statement.  It would be beneficial to warn your customers how the charge will appear on their credit card statement so they know what it was for.  You can customize the credit card statement text from your PayPal profile settings.   I hope this information helps! 🙂 - Frank ... Hi everyone,   I'm happy to hear that more Canadian banks are issuing debit cards that are compatible with PayPal. 🙂  Using one of these cards is the best way to make a PayPal payment from your bank account when the Instant Transfer from bank option is not available.   I do know that Canadian banks issue debit cards with Visa and MasterCard logos but I also know that not all of them do.  This is why it isn't always an option for a customer to add their bank card to PayPal to avoid the eCheque time frame.   Correct me if I'm wrong but don't Canadian banks issue Interac cards more often than issuing Visa or MasterCard branded debit cards.  I'd be happy to learn that most of our Canadian customers have the option to use their bank cards with PayPal. 🙂   - Frank     ... Hi jassim55,   Welcome to the community! 🙂   Sorry, you'll need to have at least one type of credit/debit card or bank account on file in PayPal to make a payment.  Withdrawing funds would also require a bank account.  Sorry, our system isn't really designed to operate without any financials on file but hopefully we can implement something like that in the future.   The best option at this point would be to open a bank account or card that can be added to the account.   I hope this helps! 🙂   - Frank ...
