Ebay return not possible with paypal dispute

Seller and buyer negotiated a resolution by email. During negotiations, Seller mentioned problems with their supplier and I then filed a claim with Paypal. Seller agreed to replace faulty product but required buyer to get a return label from Ebay. Contacted Ebay who was in process of providing label and said that they could not issue label due to fact that Paypal dispute has been filed.

If I cancel paypal dispute, and seller does not provide a replacement as now agreed, will I be able to file a dispute again?

Is there some way I can get a return label from Paypal?

This whole process is getting to be rediculous.

You can only file a PayPal dispute once.  If you close the dispute it means you are satisfied with the current status.  This means the seller is under no obligation to do more than what has already been done.

What happens depends on the specifics of your dispute witrh PayPal.

If the dispute is for an unsartisfactory product PayPal is likely to rule in your favor, but you will need to return the item at your expense and with tracking to confirm receipt.  The tracking number will need to be  recorded into PayPal.  Once delivered, PayPal would provide the refund if that is what you expect.

If it's for a replacement PayPal would still require return at your expense and then who knows what might happen?

These prroblems are best handled with buyer and worked out without displute.

I don't know where the eBay label fits in or what it means.  Seller could pay for a lable with PayPal and then emal for use.
