Smart Connect account number - ever resolved?

Ok... I read a couple comments from a couple years ago regarding obtaining the full account number to our own Smart Connect account, but I did NOT see where anyone had found an answer. 

I have never posted here - the whole PayPal/Smart Connect website is confusing enough without trying to figure out what I'm doing here!!! 

Is there a way to obtain my full account number or not? I cannot currently locate a PAPER copy of the statement, but would THINK it would be found there! It does not appear on the PDF versions. Any help??? sigh.......... Thanks!

I am sorry to hear your frustrations about PayPal Smart Connect. Unfortunately, PayPal does not distribute the full Smart Connect account number as this is an account that can only be used for PayPal transactions.

I am going to pay off my PP Smart Connect account via a balance transfer to a new card with lower or not interest for 18 months.

This makes no sense - Why can't we know the acct# of our own PaypalSmart Connect account?

I also need to know the name of the creditor this account actually belongs to.

Again, I am really sorry to hear this is how you feel about PayPal Smart Connect. 

The reason we do not give out the Smart Connect number is because it is a line of credit per say that is used to fund purchases on eBay listings that accept PayPal and anywhere else PayPal payments are accepted.

PayPal Smart Connect is financed by GE Capital Retail Bank, one of the leading providers of consumer credit.

Part of my divorce settlement is for my ex-husband to pay off my balance by putting a check in the mail to the creditors. He needs my full account number so he can mail a check for my account that he is not attached to. I REALLY need that number.

This answer makes absolutly no sense. Giving the person who owns the account in no way interferes with your ability to fund said purchases, since even if we had the account number we could only use it to pay the bill.

On your website it says we can send the payment in to:

Since you do not have auto pay, which is extemely odd, the only way to setup auto payments would be to use my banks bill pay, but that means I need the account number....

It seems as you want us to be late on our payments.

I had this problem in this past, and phone support would say I could only get the account number via mail. I called support tonight expecting the same but still needing the account number so I can do a balance transfer. Perhaps it's because the account is now under Sychrony Bank instead of GE, but customer support will give you the account number over the phone.

Call 866-571-3012 and be patient with the automated system that makes you listen to your account balance information before you can select an option to speak with someone.

Another option.  The PayPal website exposes the last 4 digits of the account number.  The rest of the number is on your credit report(s).  Did this myself just today.  You can request a credit report from the 3 major bureaus once a year for free at annualcreditreport.com

PayPal's lack of an automatic payment system actually resulted in a late fee for me this month, so I went about searching for auto-pay solutions.  Finally got my entire account number via this method and will automatically pay the bill using my bank.  Not enthused that they don't have this option to begin with, but... fees.   Fees are what 'financial institutions' make their money on (aside from interest, of course).

How do I remove PayPal Smart Connect from my PayPal Account?? I already cancelled it but it still shows on my PayPal account...The PayPal Smart Connect phones doesn't give you the option to remove it from PayPal account, just to cancell it and I already did it....
