Refund not recieved, Paypal shows but nothing in bank.

Hi,

I had a refund from a transaction in ebay. The paypal balance sheet shows the refund was made on 12/07/16 but I still havent recieved it in my bank. I have recieved other refunds before and after 12 July but this one has not reached my bank yet. I raised a message and got a call too. They got my details and bank statment and send me a reply stating " We are glad the issue is resolved". What is that suppoesed to mean. I wrote back and still no reply. What am I supposed to do?

if you paid with cc,it goes back to your cc,check its statement.

You are right, I was not expecting the mail man to bring me the cash . Its supposed to come to my CC account but it has not. I check the balance sheet everyday. I even visited the Bank myself and investigated if there was any payment made for my refund but nothing comes up. The Bank says they recieved nothing but paypal says the refund is successfull. The support from Paypal has also sent me a refrence number. The bank says nothing matches the refrence number. Now my money is lost and both my Bank and Paypal got no solutions so far (45 days have passed)

Shouldnt they solve it by coordinating with each other, I mean Paypal is responsible for transferring my funds. If my Bank has not recieved it, Who is responsible?

so you paid with a credit card ,the refund should show up in your cc account within 30 days and you dont see it?

Is the bank you visited the cc issuer?

it is not a transfer of fund,it is a credit entry to your cc account,and it usually takes longer than a charge transaction,but 45 days is too long.

did you review your paypal activities ?

You are not in USA?

whoever issued your credit card would know more,what happens to that credit entry,talk to somone at a higher level

I am not in USA. I thought Id ask around and maybe get some answers.

I personally visited the bank and talked to the branch manager. He checked every where but there was no transation that matched the refund amount. He showed me the refrence numbers of all my paypal transactions but the one provided by payal now is significantly different.

Yes I paid with my card. The refund is supposed to come in my CC account but I has not. The strange thing is the ebay transaction that is refunded had two items. I got a refund in my bank for just one of the items. The other one is still missing. Two differnt items, Different price. Both refund transactions show up in paypal balance sheet but only one got processed by my bank.

The refund was on 12th july 2016. I got the refund for one item only. Paypal activities shows successfully processed two refunds from the same seller but my bank statment linked to my card shows just on refund.

did you review your paypal activities ? 

Yes I did, Both the refund transaction details are exactly the same. They even have differnt transaction id's.

I have been using paypal for around 3 years now. Made 100s of transactions. got refunds many times.
