Hi D-G-J,
If you are seeing a payment on your bank account that you are not aware of or are unable to locate on your PayPal account I would recommend that you contact us so we can look in to it further for you.
We can run a search on the bank details and locate any payments that have been made using your account. If you do not recognise the payment we can file an unauthorised claim and have the funds returned to you.
To contact us please click on the contact us link at the bottom of every PayPal page.
Thanks for posting
Paula

Same problem here....unknown payment to "JPMC RE PAYPAL INTL" gone out a few days back.....turns out it was an ebay payment for an item!
There seems to be a scam going around guys where instead of a one off payment for an item on ebay, they manage to set up a direct debit for that amount with your bank account!
I don't know how they do it.
Paypal is there any way to permanently stop these unauthorised DDR's?
luckily i caught this in time......I will be reporting this matter to ebay as well....At least i think thats what it is - its hard to track this JPMC RE PAYPAL INTL
Anyone have any other suggestions?

Just had the same thing and sussed it out after I had sent a complaint to Paypal.
My payment was to a website (not ebay) that gave a paypal payment option.
Instead of paying by card the payment was taken directly from my account.
Therefore it showed up as a direct debit from my account to paypal.
The payment showing on my statement was two days later than the payment which showed on my paypal transactions.
And it didn't have the websites name the payment was made to on my statement, just a REF & MANDATE NO.
Yet on paypal transactions it stated the website I had paid to.
After I had calmed down and tallied the amonts I realised what the payment was.
Sorry paypal for cluttering up your complaints box.

Hi
Direct Debit for JPMC RE for £7.89. I ordered an item off ebay for this exact amount it said item from UK distributor which turns out to be Chinese!
I am not saying that ordering from China or any other country is a problem. However you need to be very careful and check bank statements.

It would be a lot esier if the idiots at paypal worked the system properly then there would be none of this confussion.
Your paypal account ballance should not be used for half payments and then the rest taken from your bank account.
Your Paypal account ballance should remain the same untill you choose to transfer it to your bank, In other words your paypal ballance should be savings only and not for making payments.
Payments should come directly from your bank.
If you have a debit or credit vard linked to your Paypal account then there is no need for them to use a direct debit to take your money any money you pay through paypal should come directly from your linked CC or DC
With Paypal, transfering your Paypal ballance to your bank is almost instant anyway so if they made it so your Paypal ballance was a saving only and not used for payments then it is easy for someone that wants to perchacse somthing to transfer the amount from Paypal ballance to thier bank, system then when paying for item takes the money from your CC/DC
How hard is it for them to understand that.
What sort of cockeyed system uses half from one thing and half from onother to pay for somthing?
PAYPAL BALLANCE SHOULD BE A SAVING ONLY, NOT USED TO MAKE PAYMENTS

Guys, I had this happen to me and I've done some digging and calculating around my bank and Paypal, and I've just realised that Paypal doesn't take money out of your bank account straight away. It takes it out in chunks using these direct debits that we're all seeing. All is fine!
