Where is the Message Centre?

I've been sent an email by PayPal telling me to look in the Message Centre for a message from them. But there's no sign of the links I'm told to look for. This is what I was told to do:

  1. Log in to your PayPal account.
  2. Under 'More about your account', click Message Centre.
  3. Click on the message you wish to view.

Trouble is, there's no link called 'More about your account'.  I've rung customer help and they can't tell me where to look.  I'm logging in to the business account.

Anyone know where it might be?

Hi KSMRT,

It would seem I am seeing something different on that screen than you are. Do you see any section that says "more about your account". If so can you click on it to see if there is any option to view your messages.

Thanks

Paula

No there is nothing on the page that says 'More about your account'.

If it helps the URL I am taken to for my homepage is https://www.paypal.com/webapps/business/

Hi KSMRT,

I have just checked this on my side and I am able to locate it two different ways. The first way I gave you and the second way is if you log in again using the desktop version and click on help. You will see the option for message centre here.

Also are you using the new version of PayPal or the classic version ?

Not sure what you mean by 'desktop version'.  I'm logging in on my Windows 8 laptop. I go to www.paypal.com and it automatically defaults to https://www.paypal.com/gb/webapps/mpp/merchant.  There are login fields on that page, top right, and I log in with those.  Then it goes to the URL I gave you before.  Note that it is obviously a merchant login page and the homepage when I am logged in is clearly for a merchant, not a personal user of PayPal.

There is no 'Help' link on the homepage.  There is a link at the very bottom which is called 'Need help?'.  That page gives all sorts of FAQs and a telephone number, but there is no Message Centre.  There is a link to the Resolution Centre but that is clearly something different.

I am using the new version of PayPal but I have reverted to the classic and that was no help.

I reported the same problem several postings back and even spoke to the PayPal helpdesk who could not find it and were supposed to phone me back with the answer. I am still waiting.....

It is obvious that Paypal need to make some changes to make this new feature from private to public and easy to find, I think the word is "user friendly"!!!

Hi Paypal, could you PLEASE PLEASE fix this problem. Your business users have been trying to find the message centre for weeks now and it does not appear. I think it is only business users that have the problem,.

As a customer it is so frustrating to be told Paypal have sent you a secure message via their Message Centre but it is so secure no business useer can see it.

Regards
