Hi I’ve been trying to get in touch with PayPal reps to answer this question but haven’t had any luck so far. So I thought I ask the question here. So I purchased someone airline tickets through Emirates using my credit card via PayPal this was in October 2019. Due to COVID-19 I decided to cancel these tickets in March 2020 as I had refundable tickets. On 2nd May 2020 I received an email from Emirates to state that my refund has been processed. I’ve checked in my PayPal account and there is no sign of this refund either in my balance or activity. I’ve contacted my credit card company who have received no payment either. So finally to my question or rather two questions? How long does it take for the refund to show up in my PayPal account? Do companies like Emirates, as in larger corporations due they have more then 180 days to refund customers? As everywhere I’ve read after 180 days I believe merchants can’t refund in the traditional sense have to use the send money option instead? Thank you for all your help

Hi Literally a few minutes after I posted the above I received notification from PayPal that Emirates had provided me with a refund. Even though the refund was showing on the 13th May 2020 in my PayPal account - It didn't hit my credit card till a few days later.

28th March 2020 - Requested Refund 2nd May 2020 - Email from Emirates to say I have been refunded. 13th May 2020 - Get Notification from PayPal to say my credit card has been refunded. 18th May 2020 - Acutal refund showing back on my credit card Hope that helps
