Charged twice for a purchase

I was Charged twice for a purchase

So I made a purchase on the 23rd of February, and I had insufficient funds in my bank account so when PayPal tried to bill me (25th) it was rejected and I was sent an email saying they would charge me again within 5 Business days for the purchase. So I put in the required funds plus more incase of anything else. (Making my PayPal balance -$48.27aud)

Then on the 27th I made a purchase (echeque) of $32.64aud, on PayPal it says paid with $48.27aud from my PayPal Balance and $80.91aud from my bank account. Which seemed strange to me as my PayPal balance was In negative so I wouldn't be able to pay with it. Then I realised that $32.64 and $48.27 add to $80.91 so I thought it would be including the payment which hadn't been payed yet.

Now on the 1st of March I have $48.27aud and $80.91aud that have been subtracted from my bank account. essentially meaning I have been charged $48.27aud twice.

Keep in mind that the $80.91 is still pending on my PayPal account

Anticipate that the 48.27 will be in your PayPal balance once the bank payment clears for the 80-something. If not, contact PayPal customer service:

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
