WHY does PayPal constantly think I'm on a new device?

I am getting really sick of this. I understand the need for security but this is getting ridiculous. PayPal CONSTANTLY asks me to verify my account, yet I always log in on one of 3 devices; all of which I've been using for years. Sometimes it asks me to verify the same device twice in the same day, claiming it's a 'new' device. How do I stop this time-wasting nonsense please?

Hi @Alami8 and welcome,
I am sorry to hear that you are having this issue. This is a security measure that we have in place to protect your account. I do understand that it can get a bit frustrating when it happens each time. When you are logging in be sure that the internet you are using is secure. If you are using an open wifi this can increase the risk and will ask you to authenticate. I would say for the next few logins try to use just one device to see if that helps.
Thanks for your post,
Paula

Thank you, but you don't seem to have really understood the issue.
I completely understand the two-step security verification process, but this is different. When I log in for the first time I do the 2-step verification every single day on the same browser and the same device - this is already tiresome and annoying. But then later on THE SAME DAY it makes me do all this AGAIN, even though I'm logging into the exact same browser and on the exact same device that I already did the 2-step verification on! How many times a day on the same device do I have to do this? It is ridiculous and completely pointless.
In addition, on other devices - e.g. my android phone - the PayPal app logs me in automatically - there isn't even one verification! It's only on my iPad and laptop that I have to repeatedly do the verification.
Many other websites I use have 2-step verification, but they do NOT ask me to do it every single day and then several times in one day!
Thanks

PayPal is utterly USELESS; they gave a 'copy and paste' reply to this question and then ignored it. There is clearly a FAULT with the settings on iPad, because on every other device I log in automatically to PayPal, yet on the iPad I have to verify every single time I log on. This is really becoming incredibly annoying.

Hello @Alami8,
Welcome back! Thanks for visiting PayPal's Community Forum. I can certainly understand your frustration with those security features. It may possibly be that since you use your other devices more than your iPad, our system wants to make sure it's you every time you log in. With that in mind, have you heard about PayPal's new security feature called PayPal Passkeys? I hope you find this Help Center article useful: What is a passkey and how do I use it to log in to my PayPal account?
Best wishes!
