FirstOntario account linking?

Hi all, neither the bank nor paypal have been able to help with this so I'm looking to the community.

Has anyone been able to link their FirstOntario account?  I two teens are not old enough to get their own credit cards so they need paypal to be able to access services such as Uber or door dash, as well as online shopping.  They have tried to link their FirstOntario chequing accounts a few times but the confirmation deposits never appear.  They have contacted FirstOntario who have verified the Institution, transit and account information and say that this is a Paypal problem to fix.  They have been unable to get any assistance in resolving it from Paypal.

If you have been able to link your FirstOntario account can you let me know.  They say my account is a six digit number, but they list it as 10 digits with four leading zeros when I pull up the account details in the app.  The only possibility I can think of is that you need to add or remove a set of leading zeros or hyphenate the account number or something.   If you have been successful, can you let me know the number of digits or format you used for the account?  Obviously, don't post your account number, but something like 0000###### or 0000-###### or ######.

Are your teens over 18? Only its against paypal rules to try and use a paypal account under 18.

If so then does the bank account name exactly match their paypal account name?

Paypal does not accept all banks so is it on the drop down list when you add it?

Is it a virtual or online bank as paypal sometimes does not accept them?

Are your teens in Canada as well and using a Canadian paypal account?
