How can I redirect people to my site after payment?

People are either not seeing the "Return to Merchant" button on the page after a successful payment is made, or they think it means they are being redirected to the site to buy more. How can I redirect people to a specific page on my site after payment? Is there a way to change the wording on the button? Or a different method entirely?

I believe you are using the Website Payment Standard(WPS) Button.  In order to redirect to a specific page, you will need to enable the Auto Return options in your account settings.

 

To gain a better understanding of this process, I recommend referring to the following guide:

Important: PayPal Website Payments Standard (WPS) is a legacy integration.

 

To ensure a seamless transition, I suggest using the following URL: https://developer.paypal.com/integration-builder/

to generate the button code required for your website. This will help you take advantage of the advanced features and improved functionality offered by  PayPal Checkout (Smart button).

 

Additionally, before you begin coding, it is essential to familiarize yourself with some key points. To gain a better understanding of these points, I urge you to refer to the following link: https://developer.paypal.com/docs/checkout/standard/integrate/#link-knowbeforeyoucode.

 

Note: PayPal provides multiple products and merchants can integrate them based on the requirement. 

 

Please follow the below steps via your PayPal Business account to explore other integrations.

 

Login to PayPal.com >> click on "settings icon" >> go to "Account settings" >> Website payments >> PayPal buttons >> select button type >> fill in the required details.

Login to PayPal.com >> go to the direct link "https://www.paypal.com/buttons/" >> follow the above steps.
