NEVER send an item until an echeque has been cleared, there should be a clearance date on your paypal account BUT its only an estimate and can be a bit later than that.
The buyer couldn't have had a back up card linked to their paypal account OR it had expired OR there is a reason paypal refused to credit their payment in advance to you so the buyer and you have to wait.
The fact its left his bank account DOES NOT mean that you have received it. Paypal uses the slowest transfer option so as its an echeque it can take 5-7 days to go via automated clearing in batches before being credited to you.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

The money leaving the buyer's account is neither here nor there. The funds has to be showing in your account first. Don't ship until you receive an email that payment has been cleared and you log on to your PayPal account and you see it there with your own two eyes 👀.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

NO DO NOT DO THAT, if you do then he would have your sent payment and could then cancel the echeque and have 2 refunds.
Click on the transaction in your paypal account and the refund option should be at the bottom of that details page.
Once refunded he would still have to wait for the original payment to clear through and then as its refunded back to his bank account.
