Rectifying a Typing Error

I entered an incorrect email address when making a gift. The money has been direct debited to Paypal from my bank, but it is still "pending" in my Paypal account and has not reached the recipient. What can I do?

Lets hope the incorrect email address does not belong to someone and they open a paypal account and claim it.

If theres a cancel option (unlikely) then use it.

If its pending with a clearance date then contact your bank and see if they can cancel it for you.

If its pending with no clearance date and no cancel option then hopefully it will time out 30 days post sending.
