switch payment method on payment in authorization stage

I used a friend's card on my paypal account and it got charged on my order because it was the most recent card. how do i switch methods before he gets the payment and freaks out?

How you were able to add your friend's card to your PayPal account is puzzling and troubling, PayPal's supposed to confirm whether the name on card matches your PayPal account. And you can't switch payment methods after the transaction goes through. You'll need to contact the merchant and cancel the order and refund you if they captured the payment.
