PayPal Working Capital and the lack of transparency regarding the industries

I am concerned about the lack of transparency regarding the industries that are eligible for the PayPal Working Capital loan.

As a long-time PayPal user with a Business account and a history of successful previous PayPal Working Capital loans, I meet all the requirements advertised for eligibility. However, I was later informed that my business falls into an industry category that does not qualify for the loan.

I believe that PayPal has a responsibility to clearly disclose which industries are eligible for the Working Capital loan. While I appreciate the convenience and efficiency of this loan option, I would not have wasted my time applying if I had known from the beginning that my industry was no longer eligible.

Hello @ASVME

Welcome to the PayPal Community! I'm sorry to hear you've run into some issues with PayPal's Working Capital Loan process. I'd recommend reviewing the eligibility requirements on the Working Capital FAQ page for basic eligibility requirements. However, you may wish to reach out to the Customer Support number at the bottom of that page for which industries may or may not be eligible for PayPal's Working Capital.

I hope they're able to help!

That's what I am saying Jon K, I have read the eligibility requirements, and I have had loans in the past. They do not say anything about some business industries that are not eligible. I have called Customer Support numerous times, and they say to just keep applying.

I think it's not very honest or supportive to not have the industries listed that are eligible, so I know if I should even apply. Plus, PayPal reviewed my account and changed my industry to one I don't agree with, and they will not change it.

Have you switched to zettle by chance? Because that likely is the issue and it has nothing to do with the industry you are in.

We too have run into the same problem. No issues with prior loans and now  our business is not recognized? What is the deal with Zettle? Would love some clarification if anyone has any?
