Paypal account offers free shoprunner benefit?

when did Paypal account offer free shoprunner benefit? Is it long time partner with shoprunner?

I have been shoprunner member for many years, as American Express credit card benefit. But I am planning to close the American Express credit card.

Now I am planning to get free shoprunner member with either World Elite Mastercard or Paypal account. I prefer to go with Paypal account, since I may close credit card in the future. Moreover, I am not sure if Mastercard will be shoprunner's partner after 3/31/2024. (According to shoprunner website: Eligible World and World Elite Mastercard cardholders can enroll for a complimentary ShopRunner membership through 3/31/2024)
