Refund is still pending 2 week's!!!

My partner is waiting on a refund which still say's pending on his account, the item's he ordered were out of stock from boohoo so they sent a refund straight away which I have the confirmation email to prove so, yet it still say's pending on his account 2 week's later! I have tried everything to contact PayPal and this is our last resort. I have contacted boohoo directly and they said they have processed it from there end so to speak to you!

I thought I was alone with this problem.....  It seems not.

 

I purchased an item on 16th of November for £250 but when I spoke to the seller on the phone I discovered the item was not actually suitable for my purposes.  The seller issued a refund on the 17th of November and I am still waiting with it showing as "pending" in my Paypal account.

The response I got was ''You need to do this >>> Click on the words "Contact" at the bottom of your paypal account summary page and use the phone option (if there is one in the country you are in) > click on the "call us" option on the left (fees "may" apply so check the cost with your phone tariff first, as you sometimes have to wait a while to connect). When you get through don't select any options just hang on till you get transfered to an agent or say the word "agent". After my partner tried this he actually got through to someone and they said they would sort it and the money would be in his account the next day... Yet again this was false he is still waiting I hope you are more successful

Has anyone actually been able to resolve this issue yet? Has anyone got their refund? Because Facebook has countless people in the same boat and there doesn't seem to be anyone who has received their refund.

I think it's high time this whole debacle went properly public.  Twitter, newspaper, moneysavingexpert website forums (maybe Martin Lewis could petition).  I can't believe we are all still owed money when they have the cheek to advertise how "safe" Paypal is.  I'm waiting for £256 since 17th November.  The refunder tells me it's left his account and I have his transaction ID but still, the silence is deafening.  Let's get this problem out there and quickly!

I agree. Something needs to be done. I had my fourth different excuse given to me yesterday when I rang them again. Apparently a glitch has caused over 2000 of us to be without our refunds, and I was told that they can't give me any clue as to when this will be resolved. But I'm sure if I rang again today I will be told something completely different. Oh, and no apology was given either.

I got my refund this afternoon. Its now safe and sound in my bank account. Fingers crossed for everyone who has had the same problem with their money.

Checked this morning and my pending refund amount has been released into my account for me to use.  Took from 16NOV16 to 04DEC16 to process.  Interesting though, is that the refund still appears as "PENDING" not completed with the rest of my transactions.   Hopefully this doesn't mean I will have issues yet to come with this !
