I've opened a dispute for several transactions that are under review, but I want to know how this happened: My PayPal account was charged with: "Paid with Google Pay x-[removed]" But, that's not a payment method I have set up.I have two factor authentication set up (using Google Authenticator) so no one should be able to get into my account. So how were these dozen or so charges made to my account in this way?

Hello @kenorian
Thank you for joining the Community Help and welcome!
Sorry to hear about the unauthorized transactions in your PayPal account. It could be a Billing Agreement/subscription charges that you set up with the seller during a checkout. A billing agreement/subscription authorizes a merchant to take payment from a customer's PayPal account when they make a purchase from the merchant’s website. I would recommend you to review the subscriptions set up in your PayPal account, cancel the unwanted ones to avoid future scheduled payments and request the refund by contacting the merchant. You can find the steps to cancel a billing agreement/subscription here. Feel free to reach PayPal Support team for any additional assistance.
Good luck,
Bindu

I've appealed the decision. See below.
Regarding the above case. Also case
PP-D-160715813
There were a series of transactions over a couple day period for products I never ordered, never received from a seller a don't know. My eBay account shows no record of these purchases. But, Paypal was charged with the following notation:
Payment Google Pay Paid with Google Pay x-[removed] (CITIBANK NA x-[removed])
That isn't my Google Pay account, and my Google Pay account shows no related activity.
So, if my eBay account shows no related activity, my eBay account shows no related activity, how did my Paypal account get charges from a Google Pay account I have no knowledge of?
And, yes, I've checked my subscriptions. eBay was on there, but even then I should have seen transactions on my eBay account - which I didn't.

Hi kenorian,
Thank you for the further information. I understand your confusion and frustration.
It sounds like the fraudster was able to use your login and password credentials to set up a billing agreement with Google Pay and eBay for IDs other than your own. I know you've set up Google Authenticator, but if the transactions are showing within your PayPal account as described, then the fraudster was able to get access. Please use the instructions given above to check for those billing agreements and then you can also open disputes. If you need additional assistance, please contact Customer Service.
If the transactions are not showing in your PayPal account but are showing on your card statement, that would mean that they were able to use your card directly through a fraudulent PayPal transaction, in which case, the card would need to be considered compromised. This is only if the transactions are not showing within your PayPal account.
I hope these transactions are able to be resolved quickly!
Olivia
