Has anyone had this happen? I bought tickets on Ticketmaster, paid thru paypal but they charged my bank instead of my CC- so I called the bank and got the $ back, now I am trying to pay for the tickets w/ the right form of payment and can not get ahold of anyone.  I dont want to lose the tickets. Please help.

I'm going to start a claim like this on Monday. I order somewhat expensive collectibles from time to time, and I have the company who charges my PayPal account set to charge to PayPal credit. I use this feature for the 6 months 0% interest for a reason. That reason is that I don't expect half of my paycheck to be nuked by PayPal because they arbitrarily chose to charge my checking account instead of what I've asked them to charge. I have had this account set up since December and this is the second time in 5 months they've wrongly charged me.

Hi @Tanyab5, @Kwashington and @Ketchfraze

Thank you for contacting the PayPal Community Forum.

When checking out on PayPal, your available balance will be used to complete the payment. If there are no funds in the available balance, the bank account is always the default funding source, unless this is changed at the checkout page. Please review this link for information on how your payments will be funded - https://www.paypal.com/smarthelp/article/how-will-my-payments-be-funded-faq1867.

Please be advised if PayPal Credit is selected as the preferred funding source, this will only be used if the merchant is signed up to receive PayPal Credit payments.

I have PayPal Credit selected as the default for this vendor. The .50 cent authorization charge always goes through on PayPal Credit, but the actual charges keep charging from my main bank account afterwards. How can this be avoided? I like PayPal Credit because of the 6 months 0% interest and because I can't afford the full charges from these purchases to withdraw from my checking account.
