Has any one else had difficulty with a trial with a company called FreeDiscussions.com as they are trying to scam me out of approx $200 and Paypal wont do anything. Paypal are enabling their dishonesty. They are threatening me with demands as I was apparently 46 seconds too late to cancel. They are continuing to try to get money out of my empty account and would like to know how stop the criminals.

Paypal are not enabling anything. If you authorised a payment then as a payment processor paypal will process that payment for you.
Paypal cover you for non receipt of item OR item received but not as described, anything else is between you and the merchant.
A simple 5 second google search gives you the heads up and you should always research websites you don't know before buying.
Check if you had a subscription set up and cancel it?
Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > "manage pre-approved payments.''
