I paid for an item from a website but never got the item evidently the sale was set as friends and family so I can’t dispute it. How was I to know it’s sent as friends and family? It looked like any other online sale.

I think payment for items are originally gns (goods and services). And if you received a payment that is gns, you would see options for shipped details. If it's fnf, then no such. I hope it helps. [removed]

Thanks.  I don't like the answer -- that I've just been scammed and nothing can be done about it, but I will definitely be more aware if I ever use Paypal again.

Can you share the website you purchased from. The reason being: I am trying to set up a FNF option from a website (group of griends sharing cost of a luncheon) but it is defaulting to GNS. I'd like to figure out how to change in to friends and family.
