So I had to deal with Korean seller on eBay and he didnt funds as PayPal family payment As return cost after i withdraw the funds returned now i have negative balance , I am European so paypal dont chase 60$ debts i surely know that as i already owed 750$, In a previous dispute in different account Where some guy lied About an item I sold damaged condition and I eat the loss which I refused I had already withdraw funds so PayPal took that hit too, Just unfair policies how 20 year old item poster buyer can admit in transaction details description its damaged And me seller is liable I am now angry at both of these outcomes

Hello Andrea4678,

I’m sorry to hear about your frustration with these eBay and PayPal disputes. When a buyer files a claim and a return is processed, PayPal sometimes deducts the refund amount from the seller’s balance. If the funds are already withdrawn, this can lead to a negative balance. Here are a few points to consider regarding your situation:

  1. Disputes and Negative Balances: When an eBay dispute is resolved in the buyer's favor, PayPal may reclaim the refund amount to cover the cost, even if it results in a negative balance on your account. Unfortunately, PayPal holds sellers responsible for any claims unless explicitly covered by their Seller Protection Policy, which doesn’t apply in all cases, especially if the buyer claims an item arrived damaged.

  2. Handling Negative Balances: Although PayPal may not actively pursue small debts in some regions, the negative balance can affect your account status, potentially limiting your ability to use the account until it’s resolved.

  3. Dispute Resolution Options: It may help to reach out directly to PayPal’s support or the eBay dispute resolution team to see if there’s any way to appeal the claim or discuss the conditions. If there was evidence on the listing indicating the item’s condition, bringing this to eBay’s attention could potentially support your case for an appeal.

  4. Future Sales Precautions: For similar items in the future, including clear condition descriptions, pictures, and “sold as is” notes may help avoid disputes, as it clarifies terms before the purchase.

While these policies can feel restrictive, documenting condition details for transactions and regularly reviewing PayPal’s seller policies may help protect against future claims.

Best regards,
Samuel
