THIS IS A SCAM.
You will get/got a "fake" email that looks as though it is from paypal.....it isn't.
It will say the buyer has paid ...you won't have been paid.
They will tell you that the payment is released when you provide paypal with a tracking/shipping number......this won't happen.
If the item is large they will tell you that you have to send a payment to the courier via western union or moneygram (in that scenario they don't want your item............the scam is that western union payment).
They threaten legal action...have a laugh at that one and ignore it as its rubbish.
Most scams originate from Nigeria.
Paypal NEVER tell you to send trackable, they advise it for seller protection etc but it is not compulsory.
Paypal NEVER tell you to send an item before the payment is showing in your paypal account.
Delete any emails and ignore the scammers.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

I've just had a very similar set-up this week:
I listed a motorbike for sale & got an interested buyer, Joanna Copper from Dublin, Eire, who said she was an off-shore engineer buying a bike for her son. Didn't haggle much over price & then the "issue" about paying for a courier to take the bike from Scotland to Ireland, needing Western Union fee paid first & she didn't bring her bank card with her when she left Ireland...
Off-shore? Well, it smelt fishy!
I Googled the name & found numerous reports of this scam. "Joanna" is an off-shore engineer & buys caravans & all kind of motor vehicles for her son. The courier company has it's Head Office in China & she is in a fix to pay the fee. She will send you extra through Paypal, if you send the courier's fee via Western Union. Then you receive two email receipts allegedly from Paypal, to say the money is waiting in your account.
One time, though, she was a deaf, wheelchair bound woman buying a wedding dress. Wow! Off-shore engineering really IS equal opportunities employment!
I told "her", sorry for your troubles, better buy another bike for your son when you get home on leave. Total time waste though.

I've just had a woman wanting to buy my car through paypal. She is deaf and wheelchair bound, she said she had paid for the car and couldnt pay shipping fees. So added them to the money.. Logged into paypal account and no money. Got intouch with paypal to find no money pending and none in my account. There never was, basically this buyer was trying to get the western union money fee when there was no money in the account, Total rip off be very careful with these people. Im lucky i rung up paypal just before i made the payment to find out it was fake. Had another email off another bloke who wanted to buy car over paypal without seeing it first, he was a marine engineer. Names are Hannah Bella and Sidney Shaw. Just be careful.

Hello.
Here is my incident.
I live in Hungary, and I advertised a kitchen furniture on a Hungarian website. Mr ******* ******* (with gmail address) sent me a message (from the US) that he is interested in the furniture.
email:******* We agreed the price and that he will pay for the delivery. I got an email about Instant Payment from this email: *******
Strange...email address has been change meanwhile... 🙂 The amount of money included the freight charge as well. In this email they asked me to pay for the freight with cash or credit card through Western Union.
Of course I did not pay for anithing...
The transportation company details below:
"For us to release this payment and credit your account you will have to send the Transport charges to the Transport company through Western Union Transfer and send us a Scanned Copy/Photograph of the Western Union Transaction Receipt.
Transport Agent : ******* Country: *******.
