Apparently on subscriptions PAYPAL did not give option to do currency conversion via Bank directly.
instead it automatically converted the currency itself
I dont know about you but I dont like paying higher exchange rates, that's why I get my bank to convert them for me for cheaper.
So if such is the case that paypal is AUTOFORCING us to USE THEIR BAD exchange rates, then you should also boycott using it for subscriptions and use your bank cards directly. Since it does not allow us to choose our OWN Bank to convert our currency now ?

Hello @Temp20230616
Welcome to the PayPal Community Forum and thanks for your post!
I see you're looking to update the currency conversion preference for the subscriptions in your PayPal account. When you set up a subscription, you will have the option to choose the currency conversion preference. The currency conversion preference you select remains in effect for future billing agreements and subscriptions funded with the same card.
You can manage your subscriptions in the settings page under payments tab, click on 'Manage automatic payments', you can update your preference by selecting the bank or card for that particular subscription. Here's an article about updating automatic payments/ subscriptions in your PayPal account : how do I update Automatic payment
Best wishes,
Bindu

You practically dodged the answer! PayPal removed permanent currency conversion settings for the credit card and (logically) does not always display this option near paying for the goods in foreign currency! Within last, PayPal is forcing their costumers to use PayPal their exchange rate, which is nothing but a scam and nowhere near the fair conversion!! You are scamming people around the world and its time one contacts the state officials about this matter! I am writing a letter to the EU Parliament for sure! It can't be that you can just rip us all off, and nobody can do anything about it!? This will stop, that is my pledge to PayPal!

Yes, Paypal is dodging the question. As I have stated in another thread on this site, if I am holding 1000 Euros in Paypal, and I want to send 500 Euros to an associate in Europe — to their own Europe based Paypal account, I am forced to convert my Euros to US dollars (and lose money on a an unfavorable spread) and then convert those dollars BACK to Euros (again losing money on Paypal's non-competitive FX spread). This is evil. If Paypal tells me I am holding 1000 Euros that I received from my European customers — then why can't I send them to a Paypal associate in the EU, as Euros? It seems crazy that I can't do what I want with *my* Euros. Paypal allows me to send Euros to people who have a Paypal account in the EU, why force me (and basically rob me) to convert and then re-convert my Euros before sending them — for no good reason at all!
