When I try to purchase something on CDKeys it fails every time.

I get a message from paypal saying it's authorized. When I click the link to the transaction it gives me the error: `The temporary authorization was canceled and your payment method wasn't charged.`.

If I go to the overview of my transactions the list is empty with the exception of my last top-up. I have no bank account or VISA attached to my paypal account, but I have added 50EUR to the account balance. The item I'm attempting to purchase is lower than 50EUR.

Why is this transaction being rejected/denied? Who/What cancelled the transaction? I don't know what is going wrong?

I have an account, it has a positive balance, I'm trying to use the balance and it fails. Temporary authorization failed ( for whatever reason ).
I have tried in both firefox and chrome and used incognito tabs. All have the same result.

What am I missing?

Your account would be unverified if you don't have a linked and confirmed bank account or credit card added.

Some merchants do not accept purchases from unverified users.

However it ''may'' also be that the funds are not in the correct currency?

I mean - it's a newly created account.

The currency on both paypal and the website is in EUR, so that doesn't seem like it.

My account is marked as unverified after getting my email, personal information ( like address, ... ) and a phone number?

On top of directly transfering money on top of it? 😐

Is there a chance that it was too "new" or something?

Thanks for the help @kernowlass! I do understand your concern with this. When you attempt to make a payment, the amount can be temporarily charged to your bank/card. This is an authorization charge will remain pending until the merchant accepts/processed your order. Canceled authorization means merchant canceled your order and you have to contact the merchant directly for additional information on this.

To maintain the highest possible security, we encourage our members to confirm their identity anf financials by successfully completing PayPal's Verification process. Becoming Verified will show others you have confirmed your identity in the PayPal system and the Verified status will increase confidence within the PayPal community. To  get verified, you can add and confirm your bank account/card in your PayPal account.
