Different card used for recurring payment

I have a recurring payment at the beginning of every month that is paid on the same debit card each time. This month, for some reason, it is showing as being paid on my credit card, which I rarely use anyway. I have tried to get an answer through PayPal help but that's as much use as a chocolate teapot. Any suggestions as to why this may have happened please?
