E Cheque - how do I cancel?

I sent some money to the US but used my bank account rather than my card. I’ve since been told that I inadvertently sent an “e-cheque”. This payment is still pending. I want to cancel this payment, and this is what I’ve tried so far: 1. requested a refund from the recipient - this has been unsuccessful because he’s not able to cancel it. 2. Contacted PayPal - they have told me I need to cancel through my bank. 3. Contacted my bank (natwest) - they have told me they see no record of a PayPal payment and they don’t support an e-cheque facility. Can anyone help me? I would really appreciate it because as ever PayPal are offering no help at all.

You would need to allow 5-7 days for the echeque to clear through to the seller and then they can issue you a refund.

If your bank cannot cancel it then Paypal can't as they have not received the funds yet.
