Issue with payment method. Getting Contact your bank message

Hi,

 

I have been a regular user of Paypal since years (more than 10) and for the past 3-4 years doing payments to vendors (with whom I do online business) on almost daily basis through my Credit Cards. Last such payment was done on 8th of August. 

 

Today, when I sat down to send some payments to the vendors through my Credit Card (my preferred one), I got the following message (pic attached below) :


"There’s an issue with this payment method. Contact your bank to get more details or use another form of payment.".

 

Surprised, I tried to make the payment from my second credit card and got the same message. 

 

Then, I added my third (and final) Credit Catd to my paypal account and tried to make the payment and got the same message. 

 

I am puzzled as to how and why all my credits cars are generating the same message. I don't think it is a bank related issue because the possibility of it happemning with three banks simultaneously is very remote. However, I am unable to  find any message from Paypal i my registered emal to know if there is any issue with my account or otherwise. As today is saturday and it is very late here in India, it is not possible to contact my banks before Monday.  And there are so many payments which I need to do or urgent basis. 

 

Does anybody is experiencing such issue from India ? or have faced it in past ? From any other country?

Hi,

Did you ever get this sorted?

I have the same problem. PayPal accepts NONE of my cards whereas every other online payment facility does.

For me, for all intents & purposes, PayPal is just broken.

And of course, they don't read or respond on this forum.

I do understand that you are unable use your card for payment. Please read this article to know how this can be done. You can reach out to the Support Team during business hours by clicking the contact us option at the bottom of PayPal page for any additional help. If your unable to login or are not in access of your PayPal account, you can connect with us via phone call as "as a Guest" (this does not require you to sign in to your PayPal account).

I'm having the same.

The payment/credit card is declined by my bank when using Paypal, but using the same credit card to pay in the same online store goes without a glitch.

Any solution?

The credit card is linked with PP correctly and looks normal, no notifications or issues visible.

Bank is saying that there is nothing wrong with the card, no special restrictions are active.
