Paypal Pending Payment

Why I am having pending payment in my transaction. I called the bank they said they already released the money, I called the merchant they said they have not received it yet. I tried to cancel the transaction through the Resolution Centre but it is not allowing me. What shall I do?

Can be one of 2 reasons.

1. When you pay a company then it is often pending or awaiting authorisation until that company processes your order and captures the pending payment.

If they don't process the order and capture that payment then the pending status times out at 30 days post-payment and returns back to your funding source.

2. Its an echeque if there is a clearance date on it? If so takes 5-7 days to clear, it goes via ACH in batches after leaving your bank account so takes longer.

Thanks for your comment. Actually I am flying tonight and trying to purchase an extra kilograms of baggage in Qatar Airways, i paid it through Paypal. My bank said that the payment was already released, confirmed as well by sms and email, but Qatar Airways said they have not received it yet. In Paypal, it is said there it is “pending”, I applied for resolution but rejected as this is not possible. So where is the money? Now, I purchased again this extra kologram baggage to Qatar Airways using my Mastercard now and it all went through so easily. What I can do now is to assume that paypal will return it back to me after some time. What if I don’t have the money to purchase it again? I wasted my time, effort, my money and hope only to get it back without assurance from anybody. Btw, why there is no telephone number to contact Paypal? I am vey disapponted with this very bad service!

If its the first option you will get it back at the latest at 30 days, if its the second option then it will complete once cleared and then the company would need to refund you.
