Unable to add PayPal as a payment method to Facebook

Trying to add PayPal as a payment method to my Facebook(FB) account.
these are the steps:
1- Click on Orders & Payments in FB
2- Add Payment Method in FB
3- Click on PayPal
4- Log into PayPal (Separate Screen)
5- 2-step verification from PayPal
6- Confirm payment method from PayPal
7- Redirect to Facebook.
This is where the screen hangs.

This used to work. It has stopped working for the last few weeks.
I tried multiple devices and multiple browsers. All result the same.
I talked to FB and they do not see anything wrong from their side. hey say it is PayPal

Nope. It has been misbehaving for the last 2 months now. I figured by now lots of people would be impacted and shouting. But it seems that it was only me and now you have the same problem. It must be something related to the way our accounts are set up.

I changed computer which did not solve the issue.

I changed browser which did not help either.

Spoke with both FB and PayPal which claim the problem is with the other one. 

Meanwhile, I am using another method of payment, which should be counted as revenue loss for PayPal.

Same here. I take it to mean PayPal isn't interested in making money... if they were they'd be working with Facebook to get it fixed! I've always used PayPal for game purchases on Facebook, the last time a couple months ago. Now all of a sudden nothing happens when I tap "link PayPal". Incredibly frustrating!

First time using the Facebook Market place. Wanted to use my PayPal account to handle receiving payments. Got the same issue that has been reported. PayPal pop up is waiting for some response from the "secure.facebook.com" window. Just hangs.
