I have not got my transaction ID of my payment

Hello. This is my first time using Paypal, so I got trouble.

At the step of check-out of my online order, I chose payment by Paypal. At that time, I didn't have paypal account, so I went to paypal.com and created an account. Next, I came back to the website to finish my order. My bank informed that my money was deducted via Paypal (using my credit card).
However, it's over 7 days from the payment date and I didn't received any either receipt or transaction ID to show the seller. It seems like no any transaction happend in the activities form my account. I tried contact Paypal Customer Service but automatic replies don't help.
At the time of payment, my credit card was not verified until after several days from the payment date. I do not know whether verifying my card is compulsory or not. If so, I doubt that card verification is the reason that my payment gets trouble? Does anyone can help me what should I do now?

Thank you

If you did not receive a PayPal email receipt with a receipt ID number or a transaction ID number on it, then the payment failed or didn't process properly. However, a temporary authorization with funds held was initiated on your card. Temporary authorizations are not considered a full charge yet and the funds are held to make sure the funds are available for the merchant to capture but if the merchant did not receive an order or a transaction for your purchase, then they won't be able to capture funds. This will lead to the Pending temporary authorization to expire, releasing funds in no longer than 30 days.

Do you even see a Pending transaction in your PayPal account activity? If not, then just keep any eye on your card's account activity for the temporary authorization to expire. It will just drop off as if it didn't even happen and the funds added back to your account.

But if you see the transaction posted as complete in your card account, you may contact your card issuer to dispute it or dispute it through PayPal, IF you see a record of completed payment in the activity listing.

  1. Locate and click payment transaction in your PayPal account activity
  2. Click "Report a problem”.
  3. Click “I didn't receive an item I purchased”.

You do this only if the transaction is marked completed in PayPal account or at your card account activity. Temporary authorizations cannot be disputed as they are not completed charges.

When you checkout, do you remember logging in to your new PayPal account to complete payment? Maybe you used PayPal Guest checkout with credit card and that's why there is no record of the payment in your PayPal account. Did you also remember providing an email address during checkout so PayPal can send a receipt to the email address?

I also think the order failed to go through but a temporary authorization was created and the funds held. Temporary authorizations expire in no longer than 30 days if the held funds are not captured by the seller.

Has the charge posted as Completed in your credit card account? You may have to dispute it through your card issuer if you do not see the transaction in your PayPal account and do not have a PayPal receipt with a receipt ID number on it.

@sharpiemarker Thank you for your advice. When check out, I was asked to loggin to Paypal account and you can see the payment information as in the photo below.

After click "pay now", I received immediately SMS from bank (sorry it's not in English ☹️) telling that the fund was deducted. However, nothing from Paypal informed that my transaction was successful.

I have no idea the seller did capture that money or not because they need at least Paypal transaction ID to check, but I dont have it.
