For me, the documents haven't even been processed yet! It says it is still in progress, followed by "we will review your information. We'll contact you if we have any questions". It has been this way for 1 weeks! This is extremely frustrating and slow. I have been sitting around like an idiot waiting for this review to finish, and I really don't know how long it will take!

I do understand your concern regarding your account being restricted. It's great to know that you have submitted the additional information requested. The time frame entirely depends on the type of limitation on your account. It usually takes 5-7 business days but in some cases it may take longer. Once the review gets complete, you will be updated the details via email. You can keep an eye on your inbox and also on the resolution center of your PayPal account for the updates.

Your guess is as good as ours, depends how busy they are / if they are happy with the documents you have sent and / when they get around to your turn in the queue.
You could contact them for an update?

Hi,
Our (not for profit) Community Group has held a Business Paypal account for almost 4 years and we have had no issues whatsoever. We have a community event coming up in July and we typically ask for donations from the local community however all links created end up at a page that merely states "This organisation is currently ineligible to receive donations."
It seems that Paypal had asked for some additional information (Letter of Authorisation & Business Registration Document) but despite uploading what we believe to satisfy the requirements almost a week ago, the page just shows "Documents in Review".
How long does it typically take for Paypal to lift restrictions as we will need to find other means of receiving donations if it's not resolved imminently.

It's now almost 2 weeks since I uploaded the requested documents and this can't be a complex case. We are now having to make alternative arrangements so that we can progress with our community event. There is nothing to say there has been any progress and I can't even report anything via the Resolution Centre. This is not a nice way to treat a not for profit organisation that exists for the good of the local community and that has held an account for over 4 years with no problems.

Hello. Why is it taking so long to review my documents? It says that you will review the documents within 1 business day. It's been 6 days! I already can't accept help from friends from abroad, and you are blocking my account!!!!.

No one here is doing anything, try contacting customer services?
Contact options for each countries Paypal customer services are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.
1. Paypal phones (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, (during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out).
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.

I made my account in 2020, submitted the documents somewhere in 2021 or late 2020. I thought if this could take awhile I might leave it alone for awhile.
Then I forgot about it, for a year and a half. Came back to see it's still reviewing, now it's 2023 and it's still is
