Hi all,
I've accessed the Superprof website. Upon going into the site, I was not made aware of the fact that I'd be charged a separate fee for a "student pass" outside of the actual tutor's fees themselves.
I did some investigation, and as it turns out, I likely wasn't paying attention, as I didn't notice that they said that the fee is only debited if the tutor accepts the request (which they did). However, we didn't actually set up a lesson, because I was distracted by the fee.
In any case, I charged it to PayPal. Is there any way I come out of this with a refund? I've been doing some other research and it says Superprof are notorious for not responding to emails, not issuing refunds, and apparently being quite "aggressive" with bad reviews.

PayPal Buyer protection does not cover buyer’s remorse type scenarios. That said, if you didn’t receive service, you might be able to get away with a item not received dispute. If that fails and you paid with credit card, you may consider filing a chargeback with your card issuer.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

I appreciate your candour - I suppose, to some extent, this is kind of a buyer's remorse situation.
I'll give it a try, and see what happens. The worst they can do is say no, and if they do - then I know to be more careful in future.
Thanks for your time.
