Can't add PayPal to Facebook (Add Card Message Pops Up)

Hi,

Do you know please why PayPal  keeps asking me to link a debit/credit card when I try to add it as a payment method for the Facebook ads? I already linked 2 master cards to the PayPal account and verified it. I tried 5 browsers at different times but still can't find a solution. I called PayPal on phone and they told me that they never heard of this problem, I know many people in all over the world suffer this problem. The photo is attached.

Thank you for contacting the PayPal Community Forum and welcome as a new member!

This is a common issue as most billing agreement merchants will require an active Visa card to be added and confirmed on the PayPal Account. I would suggest removing the MasterCard and added a Visa Card instead.

Doesn't seem to help me. I have an activated VISA attached to my profile and still I can't add PayPal as payment method in Facebook. I get the same window.

Hi bro, I got the solution, it's a bug from PayPal, you need to disable the JavaScript before login to your PayPal account from Facebook, then enter the Captcha letters and before you confirm their agreement to deduct payments from Facebook, enable the JavaScript (before clicking on confirm).

hello i am trying your method to disable java script on browser but i get same issue when i enter cpatcha after that they ask me login after that they ask me to add credit card information kindly help me if you can thanks

Same here. I did as instructed but always went back to the screen where they ask for credit/debit card. I have an active VISA card linked to my Paypal. Paypal, please fix this issue please.

Hi Siobhan, I have the same issue. I contacted Facebook regarding this and says this isn’t their issue and have to contact (you) Paypal instead. I have an active VISA card linked to my Paypal. The issue here is that it keeps asking a credit/debit card right after we input our credit/debit card details. It does not proceed to the next screen. This issue has caused a great delay in our work. We would appreciate you taking a deeper look in this issue. Please and thank you.
