I am FURIOUS!!! Paypal walked me through cashing a check and then it told me the last step was to void the check. I did so and it told me my transfer failed. I now have a useless voided check. I NEED this money. I am so angry. Do we have any protections as consumers in this case? This is so effing shady. I'm filing a complaint anywhere I can because this is ridiculous

It doesn't tell you to void until you have the cheque has been approved.

card Funds Pending Action is required to release approved check funds Dear Amber Partridge, The check you recently submitted with Transaction ID 460acb95-2554-453a-bf0a-c18625a900cd was approved for funding pending receipt of your voided check image. If you have not already submitted your voided check image, you must: Write "VOID" boldly in large letters across the entire front of your check in blue or black ink (no pencil). If you were using PayPal, open the app and launch "Cash a Check" from the button on the home screen, then select the menu icon (three dots) in the top right and view "My History". Choose the check transaction you wish to complete. If you were using Venmo, open the app, go to the Menu, tap "Manage Balance", and select "Cash a check". Follow the prompts to take a picture of the front of your voided check and submit it. As soon as we receive and verify your voided check image, we will complete your check transaction and fund your account. If we do not receive a correctly voided check image, we will be unable to release your funds. Submission of your voided check is a time sensitive process; therefore, please follow the instructions provided above as soon as possible. In the event that you are unable to submit your voided check image, please contact Ingo Money customer service for assistance.
