PayPal debit is always the default payment method

Hi,

I have always used my PayPal credit account for Ebay (and default payments) purchases, but recently I was given a PayPal debit card which for some reason supercedes my preferred payment setting in my wallet.  To confirm, in my wallet it says Paypal Credit is my preferred payment method.

Any ideas on how to fix this?  It won't let me remove the PayPal debit card from my wallet either.

For others, the only solution I have found that works is to report the debit card lost or stolen, PayPal will then  reissue the debit card, after which you can click on the new card and you will now see an option to cancel the card.  Once I performed these steps and canceled the card, my purchases started going onto my PayPal credit account which is my preferred payment method.
